![]() ![]() Odds are this is why you use direct print now. This is probably documented somewhere, but I didn't run across it and spent a few days trying to fix this. Without it the copiers cannot receive the dept code from the clients. Word of advice, if you decide to go the print server route, make sure you install the Driver Information Assist Service from the Canon UFR II driver download on the server. I don't think we save the code for the user, but I believe it is an option for the user in the driver settings (they may need to print something, enter their dept code and then it'll stick afterwards). This is so I can set up the default driver settings, deploy the printers per GPO and generate logs (Papercut PrintLogger is good enough in my situation) and to run a collection service for the managed print service company we lease the copiers from (they'll send toner when the copiers are about to run out etc). ![]() ![]() We use Canon ImageRunners at work with dept codes, but with a print server. This is something I partially struggled with. their Department ID and optional PIN each time they print. If you do not want to register a Department ID or password, proceed to step 1 in 'Printing the Document from the Computer.' 3. ![]()
